The overall goal for Juve’ Hearts is to break the vicious cycle of incarceration by launching our pilot project, a personally developed curriculum specifically tailored to meet the individual needs of each girl who will participate in the program. Juve’ Hearts will work one-on-one with each girl to prepare them for life after incarceration, thus fighting to avoid recidivism . The curriculum is designed to re-acquaint the girls with the true, genuine, and authentic nature of who they were before entering into juvenile detention. This will be used to distinguish between the “before” and “after” scenarios of their life choices, and foster in a healthy understanding of how those choices have led to the consequences of their behavior. The girls will be encouraged to establish future goals through activities of the curriculum that address many points to include responsibility, identity, and self-revelation. To assist in long-term transformation, the girls will receive the opportunity to be trained and certified to become a coach and/or mentor and be hired by Juve’ Hearts to work with the next class of girls.
